3 minutes with keema

"3 Minutes with Keema" grew out of the conversations, stories, and connections I began building through my social media platform, GrandmaGoneWild. What started as sharing old family photographs and Black history has grown into a platform centered around storytelling, genealogy, culture, lifestyle, and authentic conversation.

Since launching the series, I've had the privilege of interviewing an incredible group of guests, including Grammy Award-winning recording artist Freda Payne, actress, singer, songwriter, and producer Dawnn Lewis, Emmy Award-winning makeup artist Alex Lucas, and Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Brent Jones. Each conversation has reinforced what I've always believed: every person has a story worth preserving.

This interview series was created to capture meaningful conversations in a short, focused format that people can actually sit down and watch. Some of the most powerful things I've ever heard didn't come from formal speeches or heavily scripted interviews. They came from honest conversations where people shared memories, lessons, struggles, accomplishments, regrets, humor, and the experiences that shaped who they became.

My guests come from many different backgrounds. Some are entertainers, entrepreneurs, ministers, community leaders, athletes, authors, educators, business owners, artists, or longtime friends. Others are people whose stories simply deserve to be heard. Some interviews are funny and lighthearted. Others explore deeper subjects connected to family, faith, culture, aging, success, reinvention, hardship, and personal growth.

What matters most to me is authenticity. I want every guest to feel comfortable enough to speak naturally and honestly without feeling like they have to perform or deliver polished answers. The goal isn't to create another celebrity interview. It's to create conversations that people remember because they were genuine.

At this stage of my life, I've learned that everyone carries wisdom, experiences, and perspectives that can encourage, teach, inspire, entertain, or simply help someone else feel seen. Sometimes all it takes is three minutes to uncover them.

As the series continues to grow, I look forward to sitting down with an even broader range of guests—from nationally recognized entertainers and public figures to everyday people whose lives remind us that extraordinary stories often come from ordinary experiences.
